Maxtropin Review

At first glance, it seems clear that Maxtropin is a natural testosterone booster. But not everything is as it seems… or is it? After much research, we’re still not entirely certain. Allow me to explain.

Maxtropin is widely known as a popular natural testosterone boosting supplement. It’s available online through its official website, and on Amazon.com. When one of my frequent visitors asked me to look into it, I was happy to help. He mentioned Maxtropin was a testosterone booster, and I took him at his word. As I began my research, everything I saw seemed to support that consensus, and I had no reason to dispute this notion.

On the official Maxtropin website, there’s lots of talk about how testosterone levels drop as men get older and the negative effects that has on your strength, mood, weight, and virility. Maxtropin is offered as the cure for this issue, lifting your testosterone back up to levels you haven’t felt in a decade or more.

The highlighted benefits fall in line mainly with the strength, muscle, and fitness related benefits of higher testosterone levels such as:

  • Increased muscle mass.
  • Shortened recovery time.
  • Boosted metabolism.

This is not unusual. It’s common, in fact, for testosterone boosters to make brief mention of all the potential benefits, but focus more acutely on either the sexual benefits or the fitness benefits. Maxtropin chooses the latter.

Maxtropin Ingredients

At the official Maxtropin website, the ingredients are listed as:

  • Megadrox Ingredients ImageL-Arginine (1) which may be tangentially related to testosterone, but mainly improves workouts by increasing nitric oxide, which opens up blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow to muscles and extremities, delivering more of the oxygen and nutrients needed for better pumps, more strength, and quicker recovery.
  • Maca Root which is generally known as a powerful herbal aphrodisiac.
  • Siberian Ginseng which is an aphrodisiac that also improves blood flow.
  • Tribulus Terrestris which is thought to increase the body’s natural production of testosterone by increasing the release of Luteinizing Hormone, which sends a signal to the testes to produce and release more testosterone.
  • Yohimbe (2) which is a central nervous system stimulant that also improves blood flow. It’s commonly used in both fat burning and sexual performance enhancing supplements.

It’s a decent list for general male health, but really the only testosterone boosting ingredient is the Tribulus Terrestris, and truthfully, it’s not the most powerful one to choose from.

Ingredient Confusion

Maxtropin Ingredients 2While looking for customer feedback over at Amazon.com, I noticed that one of the pictures they show is of the Maxtropin label. When I checked it, the ingredients listed were completely different from what we’ve seen elsewhere, including at the Maxtropin website.

The ingredients listed on the label are:

  • L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate
  • L-Arginine
  • L-Arginine Monohydrochloride
  • L-Citrulline

If this is the formula, Maxtropin looks much more like a pre workout supplement than a testosterone booster. But it’s difficult to know which ingredient list to believe, which makes it tough to know what to think about the supplement.

Maxtropin Before and After Reviews

Because of the confusion about formula, customer feedback is a good way to check into how it’s working for people in the real world. In the case of Maxtropin, it’s not particularly good.

Of 21 customer reviews, 38% of them are given 5 stars, while 29% are 1 star reviews. This is a pretty high number to see for the 1-stars. Here are some of the comments associated with the negative reviews:

One Customer said: “It did not give me any type of energy.”

Another was more comprehensive in his comments, saying: “JUNK. I read about this stuff on an ESPN article about some NFL guys on this, and it actually working for them. Well if these substances worked for them, the stuff in these containers is not the same stuff. Tried the entire bottle exactly as the directions state… nothing. No change up, down, nada. Save your money… you’ve been warned. :(“

But there is positive feedback as well.

One happy customer said: “This supplement is absolutely amazing. Dropped 20 lbs of fat and gained more muscle tone, energy, and stamina all without changing anything else, all within the first month of taking them.”

Where to Buy Maxtropin

You can only get Maxtropin online, either through its official website or at Amazon.com. At the website, a single bottle ( a one month supply) costs $49. At Amazon, you’ll pay about $120 for 3 bottles.

Our Maxtropin Conclusion

In some ways, this is a tough one, and in others it’s very simple. On the one hand, it’s hard to judge a supplement when you don’t know what’s in it, but on the other hand, if Maxtropin can’t get straight the information they’re putting out there, how much leeway do you really want to give this pill? I’d say just skip it.
