Cellucor Protein. Highly digestible protein and the taste is out of this world!

What is Cellucor Protein?

I know what you’re thinking. Protein is protein. And in some ways, that’s true. Protein is protein. But anyone who’s tried more than one wheyprotein powder in his life knows that there are lots of little differences that add up enough to matter. And that’s why we spend our time trying different brands and flavors, looking for that one special product that works just right for our needs.

By now, you probably know I like Cellucor products in general, but each one is different and has to be looked at on its own merits. And that’s what we’re doing with Cellucor Protein today. I had a chance to try it out recently and I have to say, Cellucor has done it again with the taste. I have had all the flavor, and it’s out of this world. So let’s break this product down and find out if Cellucor Protein is the protein you want to use.

Cellucor Protein Ingredients

It may seem a little silly to talk about protein ingredients (I mean what’s in it? Uh… protein), but it’s actually really important because different people respond in different ways to the various types. Cellucor Protein is Whey Protein. It’s a combination of Whey Isolate and Whey Concentrate, and I’ll tell you why that matters.

  • Cellucor Protein Review 3Whey Concentrate is the result of pushing milk through a filter. What gets left behind is the Whey Concentrate. It’s got lactose, fat, and carbs to some extent, and it’s anywhere from 30% to 80% protein. It has the advantage of being less processed than its counterpart.
  • Whey Isolate starts as concentrate, but it’s more processed, with the end result of more protein per serving. Most of the lactose is removed, so anyone with lactose intolerance will want to look for a protein isolate. There are fewer carbs as well, so again, your protein per calorie ratio is higher in an isolate than a concentrate.

Cellucor Protein is an isolate based formula with some amount of concentrate as well, so it packs a protein punch. 25 grams per scoop to be exact. And though the exact amount depends on the flavor you pick, carbs are in the area of 3 grams and fat 1.5 grams.

It’s also got digestive enzymes that make Cellucor Protein easy on your system while it gets to work creating muscle quickly.

Cellucor Protein Taste and Mixability

Once it’s established that Cellucor Protein is a good solid protein source, the rest is about taste and mixability, and in both cases Cellucor Protein shines. The powder is super fine, so much so that you don’t need a blender or whisk to get a smooth consistency. Just a shaker cup does just fine. Most people just use about 6 ounces of water per scoop but you can adjust that amount or use almond milk or something similar if you prefer. I haven’t tried it yet, but from what I hear, Cellucor Protein works great in baked goods as well.  There are alot of baking recipes utilizing Cellucor Protein. I am more of a protein purist, so sprinkling the strawberry protein on Greek Yogurt and frozen berries is about as creative as I get with it.

It comes in 7 flavors. I can personally vouch for the Molten Chocolate, Strawberry Milkshake, and Cookies and Cream.  The Cookies and Cream Cellucor protein has little bits of cookie crunch in it!  but I’ve also heard nothing but raves about the rest, including, Whipped Vanilla, Cor-Fetti, Cinnamon Swirl, and especially Peanutbutter Marshmallow. I’m definitely going to make some protein brownies with the Peanutbutter Marshmallow! There is also a Red Velvet Protein and Mint Chocolate Chip available at some websites.

As a matter of fact, there are ton of recipes that you can use Cellucor Protein to enhance your favorite backed goods!

Where to Buy Cellucor Protein

You can pick up Cellucor Protein at GNC or you can buy it online at the Cellucor website. It’s not the cheapest protein you can buy. But it’s not the most expensive either. It usually comes in at about $39.99 for the 2 pound tub (26 scoops) and $69.99 for the 4 pounder (52 scoops). If you use Coupon Code “intense” at Cellucor.com,
