H-Drol Review 1

H-Drol is the name of a very popular prohormone used for making hard, dry, lean gains during both cutting and bulking cycles. As a prohormone, H-Drol won’t saddle you with the same severity of side effects that you’ll find with straight up steroids, but you will get close to the same gains.

There is a lot of chatter about whether or not H-Drol is legal and/or available, and if so where. It appears to get banned pretty often, but comes back in a slightly different form. We’ll talk about the current state of things a little later in the review.

Benefits of H-Drol

H-Drol is often used by “beginners”. That’s because there are relatively few side effects, and the gains are dry and tend to stick with you after the end of your cycle. It’s also got a simple dosing schedule, making it even more well-suited to the beginner.

Because the gains are lean and dry, H-Drol can work in cutting cycles as well as bulking cycles. Your diet and your lifting program will be the determining factor for how much muscle you gain and/or fat you lose. Depending on your program, you can gain up to 10-15 pounds of muscle, or lose 2-4% of your body fat during a 5 week cycle.

What Is H-Drol?

H-Drol Review 2H-Drol is also known as Halodrol, with a chemical formulation of 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-Androst-1,4-Diene-3-17b-Diol. (1) As we mentioned earlier, prohormones like this one try to stay one step ahead of the regulators when it comes to legality. When the FDA decides that a particular prohormone should be banned, companies change the formula slightly and put it back on the market.

Essentially, it’s a prohormone for Turinabol, and it is methylated, which means it does affect the liver. For that reason, you need to take liver support when on a cycle that includes H-Drol. It is believed to be as strong as testosterone, but less androgenic and it doesn’t convert to estrogen.

H-Drol Side Effects

As a methylated prohormone, H-Drol can lead to liver toxicity, so you need to make sure you’re using a liver supporting supplement in your cycle support. Because it doesn’t convert to estrogen, you don’t have to be too concerned with gyno (breast growth), which is a result of aromatase.

Other side effects that are possible, though don’t occur with everyone, are:

  • Loss of libido.
  • Hair loss or thinning.
  • Sore joints.
  • Back pumps.
  • Acne on back and/or arms.
  • Aggression.
  • Poor sleep.

These side effects are all typical with steroids, and while they could potentially occur with H-Drol, they typically tend to be less frequent and less severe.

One thing you want to watch out for is high blood pressure. H-Drol can raise your blood pressure, so if you already have issues or take medications, you should avoid it altogether.

Stacking H-Drol

H-Drol stacks well, and what you stack it with depends on what kind of cycle you’re doing. You have to make sure, however, that you don’t stack it with any other Methylated compounds. That’s because the addition of more methylated compounds would put far too much stress on your liver. You’ll also want to take it for a cycle on its own and see what it can do before you stack it with other products.

H-Drol Review 3Do You Need PCT with H-Drol?

As a prohormone, H-Drol will affect your body’s natural testosterone production. By providing hormone replacement, it effectively shuts your body’s actions down. When you come off your cycle, you need to start all the normal activities up again, and get your body functioning at full capacity again. An effective PCT protocol would include continued liver support, a natural testosterone booster, and an anti-aromatase drug or supplement. You’ll want to continue PCT for 4 to 6 weeks.

Where to Buy H-Drol

As we talked about before, H-Drol comes in slightly different formulations in order to stay a step ahead of the regulators. The best way to find it is to do a Google search for it and select shopping. You’ll find retailers that are out of stock (usually because it got banned), and you’ll find some that still offer it. Just read carefully to be sure you know what you’re getting.

H-Drol Pros

  • It gets you lean, hard gains.
  • You can use it for bulking and/or cutting.
  • It works

H-Drol Cons

  • It can mess with your liver.
  • It requires PCT and cycle support.
  • There can be pretty significant side effects.
  • Keeping up with the legality can be tricky.

Our H-Drol Conclusion

You can definitely get some real results going with a H-Drol stack, but I don’t know how many of you want to use steroids and prohormones when it mean potential liver damage and other risks, nasty sides, and weeks of PCT. I think most of you are looking for safe supplements to help your progress along. If that’s the case, H-Drol isn’t for you.
