M1T Review 1

When you want to get big, there are several different ways you can go. You can go “au naturale” and take only natural supplements. This will help, but it won’t get get it huge in a matter of weeks. You can throw caution to the wind and take steroids. With these, you can get really huge really fast, but there are the side effects to consider, not to mention the fact that they’re generally illegal to buy and banned by sports organizations. Or you can choose the middle ground with pro-hormones. They’re not technically steroids. Once in your body, they convert to hormones. So the benefits and side effects are somewhat muted as compared to actual steroids, and some of them are still legal. One very popular pro-hormone from a few years back is called M1T, or Methyl-1-Testosterone.

These days, M1T is banned, but it was extremely popular when it was still around. So popular, in fact, that I still get guys asking me about it fairly frequently. I thought it would be a good idea to do a little write up about it so our visitors have easy access to a reliable resource.

How M1T Works

As a prohormone, what M1T does is enter the body, then convert to testosterone. That makes it very anabolic and highly androgenic. Additionally, M1T doesn’t convert to estrogen or DHT, which is so often the case with testosterone and prohormones. M1T is toxic to the liver and it does shut down your natural testosterone production, so you will need liver support and PCT with your cycle.

M1T Review 3Benefits of M1T

M1T is really good at putting on the weight. It was a pretty regular thing to hear guys talk about gaining 20 – 30 pounds of muscle in just a few weeks. Truthfully, that’s why this stuff was so popular. A pro-hormone that gave you gains like a real anabolic steroid! What could be better?

M1T Side Effects

But along with the big gains came big side effects, at least in comparison to most other pro hormones. Not that there were more necessarily, but they tended to be more severe than you’d typically find in a prohormone On a typical M1T cycle, you could expect:

  • Lethargy
  • Shrinking testicles
  • Gynomastia
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Acne
  • Aggression
  • Back pain

That’s a pretty serious list for something that’s a not a steroid. Of course, side effects can be minimized by taking the right precautions in the form of cycle support and post cycle therapy. While you’re on your cycle you should take Milk Thistle for liver support (in fact, start on Milk Thistle weeks before your cycle to prepare your liver), Saw Palmetto for prostate support, Hawthorne Berry to help maintain blood pressure, and Zinc to keep your bodily processes running smoothly. After your cycle, you’ll need pct. While M1T is in your system, it’s shutting down your body’s natural testosterone production. After your cycle, you need to turn it back on. Continue taking Zinc, add some Tribulus, and take Nolvadex.

Cycling M1T

M1T should only be used for 2 to 4 weeks at a time, with at least an 8 week off cycle in between. This is primarily because of the liver toxicity.

M1T Review 4

Some prohormones are still legal in the US, but that’s not the case with M1T. Back when juicing in Major League Baseball was getting a lot of attention and a lot of substances got banned, M1T was one of them. To this day, some consider it to be more steroid than prohormone because it really does walk that fine line.

 My Experience with M1T

M1T was the real deal.  You put on lean mass fast.  However, I did notice side effects like acne and roid rage.  Guys that used it were walking around pissed off all the time.  When their were rumors of an M1T ban looming, everybody stocked up.  By now it is all expired.

M1T Pros

  • M1T is one of the best loved prohormones that ever existed.
  • The gains are real (20-30 pounds in 2-3 weeks) and they’re dry because it doesn’t convert to testosterone.

M1T Cons

  • It’s very toxic to the liver and requires liver support (1).
  • There are numerous side effects, some pretty serious.
  • It requires pct.
  • It’s no longer available in the US because it’s been banned.
  • Severe roid rage.

Our M1T Conclusion

M1T was great while it lasted. The gains were insane, and if you had the opportunity to use it back when it was around, you know that to be true. Most guys I talk to wish the FDA would stay out of their business. And I tend to agree. Clearly there are backdoor financial dealings going on between the FDA and pharmaceutical companies, and the fact that it dictates a lot of their decisions is just wrong and does us no favors. But M1T is definitely some tricky stuff, and you would certainly need to use it with caution.
