- Anacyclus Pyrethrum (1) which has long been used in Ayurvedic traditions as an aphrodisiac. It is often thought that aphrodisiac herbs work by increasing testosterone, but that theory has never been proven. While there is clearly a connection between testosterone and sexual performance, testosterone isn’t the only way to increase libido. However, recent animal studies are showing promise that Anacyclus Pyrethrum may indeed increase testosterone levels.
- Eurycoma Longifolia (also called longjack) (2) may increase free testosterone levels by de-activating Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) which attaches itself to testosterone, making it basically useless. With less SHBG, you’re left with more free and available testoterone.
- Fenugreek Extract which has been linked to increased testosterone levels, but the evidence has been spotty. It appears to work by decreasing the conversion of testosterone to DHT, which is more anabolic actually than testosterone.
- Maca Root (3) which is an aphrodisiac, but doesn’t actually increase testosterone.
- Velvet Bean Extract (Mucuna Pruriens) which may stimulate your body’s natural production of testosterone by increasing dopamine levels with L-Dopa.

It’s not bad, but I don’t see Shredz Alpha Testosterone as anything special that you’ll want to run right out and try. The fact that it’s a proprietary blend is a red flag.
