Uber Trim Review 1

Have you ever seen an infomercial on late night TV? If they weren’t trying to sell you the latest breakthrough in skincare or cookware, they were probably trying to sell you something to help you lose weight. Well, an awful lot of weight loss supplements use the same kind of marketing approach, only tailored to an online audience. The other day, I came across one called Uber Trim, and decided to take a closer look.

Like a lot of supplements, Uber Trim is available online, and that’s the only environment you’ll see it in. They have a network of review websites that all lead to the official product webpage, where they provide all the available information and allow you to place your order. The problem is, we read every word of that webpage, but still don’t know a whole lot about the nuts and bolts of Uber Trim.

Uber Trim Benefits

Prominently displayed on the website are all the great things that will happen to you if you take Uber Trim. Included among these are:

  • Intense fat burning.
  • Increased energy levels for workouts and for all day.
  • Boosted metabolism.
  • Easy weight loss.
  • And a transformation to the sexy slim body you’ve wanted all along.

Scattered throughout the website are references to celebrities and other Hollywood types who they imply (but never outright state) use Uber Trim to keep their camera-ready bodies. But we were looking for more than just promises. We wanted to know how exactly Uber Trim can deliver on its promises.

Uber Trim Ingredients

Uber Trim Review 2

So naturally we wanted information about the ingredients in Uber Trim and how they can help us lose weight. To our surprise, the otherwise very well-presented website neglected to provide much real information on this point. Only the primary ingredient is mentioned – Garcinia Cambogia (1).

Garcinia Cambogia has been a popular weight loss ingredient for a few years now, after Dr. Oz touted its benefits as a potential game changer in the world of weight loss. The real powerhouse in Garcinia is called HCA (Hydroxycitric Acid). At this point, the research is still sketchy but it’s believed that HCA works in a number of ways to encourage weight loss.

It works as an appetite suppressor to reduce hunger and cravings, so you find it easier to eat less and lose weight.

It inhibits the release of an enzyme (citrate lyase) that turns glucose into fat. So instead of being stored on your body as fat, it’s converted to energy and used by your body.

The HCA in Uber Trim is standardized to 60% and they say that a single serving contains 1000mg.

Beyond that, while they say there are no fillers or non-natural ingredients, we don’t know what else goes into Uber Trim. It seems like it would be simple for them to provide an image of the bottle label, but they haven’t done so.

Uber Trim Before and After Reviews

Another thing missing from the Uber Trim website is customer feedback. There are no testimonials from happy customers, which is unusual for an product sold over the internet. In this age of Amazon reviews, most products really depend on sharing customer feedback to spread the word about their success.

Where to Buy Uber Trim

Uber Trim Review 3As we’ve mentioned, the only place to buy Uber Trim is their official website using their free trial offer. But before you get excited about the prospect of a free trial, let me assure you there is nothing free about this trial. When you sign up, you pay a small shipping fee of $4.97. Once you do that, they have your credit card number and they send you a 30 day supply. You may think that’s the end of it, but it’s not. If you don’t call and cancel within 14 days, they’ll charge you full price for that “free” bottle they sent you. And full price is $89.97. That’s a lot more than free, right?

These terms are explained, in the very fine print, so when you call to complain about the unexpected $90 charge on your card, they’ll tell you it’s what you agreed to. At that point, the best you can do is cancel your future orders because, oh by the way, you also signed up for monthly shipments of full-price bottles for the foreseeable future.

Uber Trim isn’t the only product to run this scam. It’s actually very common in the online supplement industry. And as long as they provide the information in the Terms and Conditions, what they’re doing is sleazy, but it’s not illegal.

Uber Trim Pros

  • It uses Garcinia Cambogia in its formula, which is a promising weight loss aid.

Uber Trim Cons

  • The entire list of ingredients is not provided.
  • It’s only available by signing up for the free trial, which will get you with a surprise monthly charge of $90.
  • It’s expensive.
  • There’s no customer feedback.
  • There are no clinical studies of Uber Trim.

Our Uber Trim Conclusion

Uber Trim starts off on the right foot by using Garcinia Cambogia as the centerpiece of its formula. But unfortunately, that’s the only positive we can see about this stuff. The high price, the not-so-free trial, the lack of ingredient information. It all leads us to having no real reason to recommend you spend your time or money on Uber Trim.
