Cellucor C4 Ripped Review

Cellucor C4 Ripped is part of the Cellucor C4 family of pre workouts that’s made such a splash in the bodybuilding community. These are easily some of the best loved supplements in the industry. It all started with the original C4, but since then, Cellucor has added some goal-specific alternative. They each start with the basic C4 formula, then add in components to help specifically targeting certain benefit areas. Cellucor C4 Ripped is made with particular attention to fat loss.

Cellucor C4 Ripped Benefits

As you would expect, Cellucor C4 Ripped provides the famous C4 energy so you can burn through your workouts with relative ease, even when it gets tough. Beyond that, you’ll get the cutting benefits of fat burners and metabolism boosters, and you won’t get the creatine that’s most often associated with putting on mass, not to mention water weight. When you train with Cellucor C4 Ripped, you get all the benefits of a quality pre workout with none of the parts that contribute to gaining mass.

Cellucor C4 Ripped Ingredients

Like all C4 products, Cellucor C4 Ripped starts with a base of nutrients to promote general health, energy, and well-being. These include Vitamin C, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, and Calcium.

It also includes a slightly modified version of the C4 Explosive Energy Blend which includes:

  • Cellucor C4 Ripped Review 2N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine to stimulate neurons for better focus and cognition.
  • Caffeine for energy and focus.
  • Mucuna Pruriens (1) for it’s L-Dopa content which leads to increased Dopamine. Dopamine elevates mood and increases motivation.

The Explosive Energy Blend in Cellucor C4 Ripped is missing the TeaCor found in the other C4 products. That’s because TeaCor requires carbohydrates, which would add calories to the product. Cellucor determined that that would be counter to the purpose of Cellucor C4 Ripped.

Next is the heart of the pre workout formula, which is also partly significant for what its missing. What’s included is:

  • Beta Alanine for muscle endurance. Beta Alanine blocks the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles. Lactic acid is what gives your muscles that feeling that they just can’t go any further. With Beta Alanine, that feeling comes much later. Meanwhile you’ve been pushing more weight toward better results.
  • Arginine AKG (2) for pumps. L-Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide. NO widens blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow through to muscles, carrying oxygen and nutrients necessary for optimal energy and recovery.

This blend usually also contains creatine in the C4 supplements. Cellucor C4 Ripped leaves it out because of the potential for water weight gain, which acts against getting you looking ripped.

Then there’s the special Cellucor C4 Ripped Blend specifically formulated to help reduce fat. It includes:

  • L-Carnitine Tartrate (3) which burns fat and enhances athletic performance by transporting fat throughout the body to be used for energy.
  • Green Coffee Bean Extract. The chlorogenic acid in Green Coffee Beans can reduce the absorption rate of carbohydrates, which can lower the incidence of blood sugar spikes.
  • Capsimax Cayenne which boosts metabolism.
  • Coleus Forskohli Root Extract which may help regulate the release of thyroid hormones, leading to a more balanced resistance to weight gain.

How Cellucor C4 Ripped Works

Cellucor C4 Ripped Review Review 3

As with all the C4 products, it’s recommended that you start with one scoop mixed with water and taken about 20-30 minutes before your workout. As you assess your tolerance, you can add more if you feel it’s necessary. Cellucor C4 Ripped comes in 3 flavors: Cherry Limeade, Fruit Punch, and Raspberry Lemonade.

Cellucor C4 Ripped Reviews

Cellucor C4 Ripped gets great reviews with very few exceptions. Here’s a sample of what you’ll find out here in terms of feedback:

  • “This product is great for those who don’t want to get creatine with their pre-workout. This gives me sustained energy to lift hard right to the end of my 1 hour long daily workout, without the crash.”
  • “Tastes great and lasted all the way throughout my workout. Cardio has never been easier.

But I also noticed several reviewers talking about building a tolerance very quickly:

  • “However, I got used to the supplement SUPER quick, after only about 1.5 weeks of use.  “

Cellucor C4 Ripped Pros

  • Cellucor C4 Ripped Review Review 4It gets mostly positive reviews for both energy and fat burning.
  • Most people really like the taste and mixability.
  • It’s a non-creatine pre workout for people who prefer to go that route.

Cellucor C4 Ripped Cons

  • People definitely seem to notice what’s missing, namely the creatine and the TeaCor. Some reviewers mention that they prefer the energy from original C4, which contains both of these.

Where to Buy Cellucor C4 Ripped

You can purchase Cellucor C4 Ripped online or in stores. If you don’t mind shopping online, you’ll get the best price at Bodybuilding.com. They sell a 30 serving tub for $39.99. The Cellucor website sells that same tub for $59.99. If you prefer buying your supplements from a store, you an get Cellucor C4 Ripped at your local GNC for $49.99 or $45.99 if you’re a member.

Our Cellucor C4 Ripped Conclusion

We love the dedicated C4 formulas, just like with love the original C4. But the Cellucor C4 Ripped formula seems to be a little less on the mark than the rest. They took out the creatine to promote weight loss and not encourage water retention. But it seems to have had a negative effect on some people who really love the original formula. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a fat burning pre workout, it would be hard to find something better than Cellucor C4 Ripped.
