The first thing I noticed about this new supplement is the unfortunate name. It sounds like they’re saying you get “No Pump” with NOPumpX. What they really mean to convey is that this is a Nitric Oxide (NO) based supplement that will give you intense pumps both during and after your workout. But I would say their marketing department missed the mark on this one.

What is NOPumpX?

Poor name choice aside, NOPumpX is a pre workout supplement we’ve chosen to check out. It popped up on my radar when it came across as an advertisement in my Instagram feed, and when I first took a look, I have to be honest, it looked very much like dozens of others I’ve seen. But I kept digging deeper to find out once and for all if this stuff is worth getting involved with.

NOPumpX Benefits

NOPumpX is definitely a typical pre workout in terms of the benefits it promises. These include:

  • Greater Energy and Stamina.
  • Increased drive and motivation to work out and get results.
  • Stronger, harder muscles as a result of your hard work combined with the benefits of taking the supplement.

Nothing too earth shattering, to be sure, but exactly what you want if you’re planning to succeed. But the proof is in the pudding, so to speak, so the next thing we need to do is check out the formula and determine how effective it may be.

NOPumpX Ingredients

The website offers a link way down at the bottom that’ll take you to an image of the NOPumpX label:

As you can see, this stuff is driven almost entirely by 3 forms of L-Arginine. The meat of the formula is an 800mg proprietary blend of:

  • L-Arginine AKG (1)
  • L-Arginine
  • L-Arginine HCL

Now, these may look like 3 different ingredients, but in effect, they’re all pretty much the same thing – l-Arginine. L-Arginine is a pre cursor to nitric oxide, which is where you’ll get your results from. NO is what’s known as a vasodilator. This means it relaxes and opens up blood vessels, allowing an increased amount of blood to flow through to your muscles. During workouts, this allows for more oxygen to provide muscle energy. It also gives you those pumps you want, making you look ripped and vascular. After workouts, you’re still gaining the benefits when the increased blood transports the nutrients you need for an effective and speedy recovery.

There’s one more ingredient in the NOPumpX formula, and that’s L-Citrulline. L-Citrulline converts to L-Arginine in the body, and it also delays the onset of muscle fatigue in its own right.

The biggest problem I see with this formula is the ingredient amounts. The total L-Arginine content per 2 capsule serving is 800 mg, but most reputable sources indicate that an effective pre workout dose is more in the 3 gram range, far above what’s in NOPumpX. The story is even worse where the L-Citrulline is concerned. NOPumpX contains 5 mg, whereas the standard recommended dose for pre workout is 6 grams or more.

Where to Buy NOPumpX

NOPumpX is only available through their official website by signing up for their “Sample Bottle,” but it’s not really a sample in the way you normally think, and it’s definitely not free. The way it works is that you sign up by giving them a credit card number to pay for the $7.95 shipping charge. They’ll send you a full bottle, and if you don’t call and cancel within 14 days of placing your order, they’ll charge you full price for that “sample” bottle, and they’ll start sending you a new full price bottle each month.

This is a very common internet scam, and NOPumpX is very typical in how they enact it.

NOPumpX Before and After Testimonials

Since NOPumpX is only available through their official website, that’s the only place you can find feedback from customers. And surprise surprise, it’s all very glowing and positive. That’s because they can orchestrate the image they want to present on their website. Here’s one example:

Dan Roberts says: “I love to keep my body in shape but, at 45 years old, age is working against me.
A friend recommended trying NOPumpX and since then, I’ve never looked back! I still work my hardest to earn my body, but now I feel and notice the results much more easily. My friends down at the gym don’t know what happened.”

There are others, and they’re very similar to that.

NOPumpX Pros

  • The only positive thing I can think of about NOPumpX is that the formula is all natural.

NOPumpX Cons

  • It’s expensive.
  • You think you’re getting a “sample” but really they’re charging you for a full bottle.
  • The formula is seriously under-dosed.

Our NOPumpX Conclusion

Everyone wants an effective Nitric Oxide pre workout, which is why companies are so willing to just throw mediocre products out there, hoping people will jump on their bandwagon and buy it. NOPumpX is just the latest in a long line of these products. They make big promises, but the truth is the formula is weak. On top of that, the only way to order it is to sign up for monthly shipments. Who want’s that? Not me, and hopefully, not you either.
